Perfect South x The Chai Room Collaboration
Chai Spiced Sencha is a journey between cultures – a harmonious and surprising union of traditional Indian chai spices, with a classic Japanese-style tea. Notes of soft masala chai spices are paired with the sweet, mellow flavours of Sencha, to create a balanced and delightfully refreshing tea that honours all ingredients. It’s a chai tea that is enjoyed without milk.
Chai Spiced Sencha is a collaboration between Perfect South and The Chai Room. The blend is a fusion of creativity and mutual respect, which reflects a respective love of spice, balance of flavours, and passion for craft and collaboration.
INGREDIENTS OF CHAI SPICED SENCHA
Australian green tea, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, cloves and black pepper.
Organic and non-organic local and imported ingredients used. Contains some caffeine. This blend is vegan and gluten free. Drink hot or cold. Store in a cool, dry, dark place.
We don’t use synthetic chemicals or sprays to add flavour to our tea – yuck! The spices, herbs, flowers, seeds and fruits blended with our tea leaves are either organic or wild harvested. Sometimes we also use naturally extracted flavours that have been crystallised into tiny grains that dissolve in hot water and release natural flavour. Or we use a drop of natural liquid flavour or essence. In other words, there’s no nasties in our tea.
HOW TO BREW CHAI SPICED SENCHA
This tea doesn’t need milk – it’s not like a traditional chai tea!
Brewing is the same as our other green teas. If you find this tea is too strong, use less leaves and brew for 2 minutes only.
Serve: 1 flat teaspoon per cup of water (250ml)
Water temperature: 70-80°
Steeping time: 2-3 minutes (no longer!)
Remove leaves from pot before drinking. Never use boiling water when brewing the chai spiced sencha.
