We don’t just drink tea around here, we love all kinds of drinks, especially the hard ones. When it comes to cocktails, tea and spirits play nicely together, so when fabulous tea cocktail creators, Teatini, got in touch, we were excited to see what their experimental mixology would produce.

Neha and Smruthi from Teatini picked our Berry & Jasmine Sencha blend and crafted this modern take on a classic Cosmopolitan.

They said, “For each creation we usually either infuse tea directly in the spirit or liqueur or we add a strong, concentrated brew of tea. However, for this cocktail we used both techniques. This ensured all of the different flavours and aromas in the tea were subtly yet perfectly pronounced in the cocktail.”

Two spirits have been used, both by ethical and sustainable spirit producer, FAIR: a quinoa vodka and a goji berry liqueur, both available in Australia at Dan Murphys.

“This blend is a delicious substitute for artificially sweetened cranberry juice or syrup typically used in the classic Cosmopolitan cocktail and creates a refreshing spin with FAIR spirits’ vodka and liqueur,” they added.

Here’s how you can make it at home.
