Camperdown is our neighbouring suburb and has been a little neglected nook of the Inner West to date, but thankfully things are starting to change. When we noticed a smart looking new cafe open on Layton Street we pretty much bolted in there as it’s walking distance from our place.
We immediately loved the ambiance of BION Societé and after enjoying an awesome breakfast we struck up a conversation with Greg, the barista and part owner, and soon started talking tea. Long story short we’re now pleased to announce that BION Societé is our latest partner and you can head there for a pot of our First Harvest Genmaicha or Matcha Genmaicha, or a cup of Estate Sencha.
Aside from the cool architect-designed interior, BION Societé has heaps going for it. The food is creative but still has a simplicity and honestly to it, the service is friendly and efficient, Greg obsesses over the perfection of every single cup of tea or coffee, and with a motto of ‘Live to Eat’ what’s not to like! For breakfast we fully rate the Smoked Salmon Stack with avocado puree, feta, trout roe, fresh herbs, olive oil and marinated black olives on sour dough toast. You can read more about the cafe in Broadsheet and visit their website for contact details and their breakfast and lunch menus.
Thanks BION Societé for turning it up a notch in Camperdown and stocking Perfect South Australian grown green tea.
