Our Christmas gift ideas

Green tea is an excellent Christmas gift, Secret Santa or stocking filler. For our very first Christmas we’ve got beautiful gift boxes for the First Harvest and Estate ranges, as well as gift wrapping (either natural fabric ribbon and a gift tag or natural paper and ribbon), and free shipping if you spend over $30.

Picking tea for someone can be tricky, so here are my recommendations for buying two packs for specific people. I’ve picked a tea that’s steamed and one that’s roasted so people get to experience the two different styles.

The experienced green tea drinker
For those with an experienced palate who drink green tea often, I’d go for the First Harvest range, with one cleansing, steamed tea and one roasted, comforting tea. First Harvest Shincha is a robust and traditional tasting single origin green tea – it’s for those who like and appreciate true and strong green tea flavours.  Pair it with the First Harvest Genmaicha, which has roasted rice in it and smells like popcorn.

The new green tea drinker
Two easy drinking intro styles are the Estate Kukicha and Genmaicha. I always pick them to turn green tea haters into green tea lovers! The Kukicha is steamed, light and smooth. Then the Genmaicha, in contrast, is roasted and savoury and a real delight if you’ve never had it before.

A gift for him
I’m always surprised at how many guys drink green tea, which is excellent! For him, I’d pick Estate Houjicha, fondly called our man tea, because blokes tend to love its roasted flavours and it smells like a packet of salty, potato chips – savoury and tasty! I’d combine this with a Estate Sencha because it’s just simple and good.

A gift for her
I’d suggest Estate Kukicha, which I refer to as lady tea, because it’s the prettiest colour and has a hint of sweetness. It’s lovely and light and great to drink all day. Again, I’d team this up with either Estate Genmaicha or even Houjicha – both roasted, delicious and my ‘go to’ comfort teas.

I hope that helps with your Christmas gifting! Select our gift wrapping when you get to the shopping cart to check out.
